There are many sources if financial aid for UNM-STEM students.

The first step is to document financial need using the Free Applicaiton for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

                           There are a large number of scholarships available through the UNM Scholarship office as well as many public site. For a list of these sites please click here.

                           The UNM Financial Aid office provides loans and workstudy oppourtunites.

                            Most departments have their own scholarships with spring application deadlines.

Financial Aid Forms

                          Many goverment funded scholarships are transferrable to accredited universities. The student must obtain and fill out a Scholarship Transfer Form.
                          If a student has lost a scholarship UNM allows for petition to re-obtain the scholarship. The student must obtain and fill out a Scholarship Petition Application.
